Isaiah 2:1-5; Matthew 24:36-44 | This Sunday the church begins the sacred season of Advent. While many stores have already been filled with greens and reds, glitter and bells, for the next four weeks, the church assumes hues of blue and songs that are still a bit more subdued. Why? Because in these sacred weeks, we have the opportunity to wait, and to keep watch, for how God is coming into our lives, and into our world, seemingly “out of the blue.” So as you begin to prepare for the coming of Christ, join us this weekend as we attune our eyes together to how God is coming, bringing beauty into the darkness.
