Worship: Wilderness as a Place of Unexpected Connection

John 4:5-42 | Connection. We’re wired to live connected to one another and to God. And yet, for a myriad of reasons, it’s all too easy to remain hidden, alone, and isolated. This weekend, as we meet the Samaritan woman at the well at high noon, it’s likely she was trying to avoid connection. And yet, in that unexpected place, Jesus meets her – offering her living water. Today, even when we are not seeking Jesus, Jesus still comes to meet us where we are. And transformed by our connection with Jesus, we – just like the Samaritan woman – are also sent to testify to what we have seen, heard, and experienced. So, as we continue to journey through the wilderness this season, join us as we take a drink from the oasis of God’s grace, and as we are transformed by our connection with the only one who can truly satisfy.
